Scott Peters, President

Scott is a Professional Landscape Architect and Principal at EPG where he has dedicated his career to creating context sensitive and sustainable projects. He holds a bachelor’s of landscape architecture and environmental planning from Utah State University where he graduated first in his class and received the HASS Outstanding Student, the LAEP Department Faculty Medal, and the ASLA Certificate of Honor. He also attended the University of Utah where he studied architecture and received a minor in Spanish. Over the past 20+ years, Scott has served as project principal, project manager, senior landscape architect, lead designer, and environmental planner for many large-scale and multi-disciplinary park and recreation, electric generation and transmission, pipeline, flood control, resort, and community development projects.

Scott is dedicated to his wife, four children, and the community. He has served on several boards and commissions, as well as environmental and design award committees. In addition to his involvement with the Jordan River Foundation, he currently serves on the City of Cottonwood Heights Architectural Review Commission and represents the Jordan River Foundation on the Jordan River Commission Board. He also served on the Envision Utah: Blueprint Jordan River Recreation and Trails Steering Committee. Scott is an Eagle Scout and is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He loves the outdoors including camping, backpacking, and skiing.
