Redwood Nature Areas & Little Confluence

Jordan River Parkway Redwood Nature Area

The Foundation is collaborating with Salt Lake County on restoration and improvements at the Redwood Nature Area and Little Confluence comprising 80 acres. The project removed invasive species, restored wetlands, reseeded areas with native vegetation, planted trees, and installed trail head parking, trails, and interpretive signage to enhance conservation literacy amongst visitors to the project sites. Cost for this project is over $550,000.

The 9-acre Little Confluence Open Space marks the junction of Little Cottonwood Creek and the Jordan River. Hundreds of cottonwoods and willows have been planted by Salt Lake County's Million Trees Program, in conjunction with Tree Utah. The site features a nature trail, boat ramp, and picnic pavilion, perfect for wildlife viewing.
